Melissa Barnet from WatchGuard Technologies will be with us.

She will be discussing the need for firewall devices to protect the computers of those who use the Internet, especially those with "always on" connections. She will also discuss the advantages / disadvantages of software versus hardware firewalls and then discuss the hardware firewall products that WatchGuard offers.

After two years, Gene Barlow from Power Quest will be here again. Those of you who know Gene and his product line know that this will be a great presentation.

Claudia Caspary of Wireless Webconnect, the local Authorized Service Provider for Metricom, will be demonstrating the new, faster Ricochet wireless modem system.

Also, each attendee will be eligible to toss his/her business card or other identification into Metricom's national, quarterly drawing. The next drawing will be on June 1st and the winner will receive a free 128kb Ricochet mobile modem and a one-year service plan. (Great prize but long odds since a national drawing.)
