Volume 26, Issue 7

Welcome to July, the Fourth of July Holiday, and maybe warmer weather!  We are finally able to meet in person at the North Bellevue Community Center.  Our meetings at the Center will be Hybrid (in-person meeting and Zoom meeting combined). For the safety of all, KEGS is requiring every attendee to wear a mask.

On July 5th, our General Meeting program will be "Finding and Using Historical Newspapers" presented by Sue Mueller.  Newspapers record basic details on your relatives and stories about their lives and information important to their communities.  This session will help you understand digitized collections and locate free newspaper sources online.  Learn how to search and use what you can find.  Please plan to join us in person or via Zoom.

For our Tech Corner, remember that you can bring your Android smartphone and tablet questions as well as Apple and Chromebook issues.

Welcome to our new Linux SIG that will meet on Tuesday, July 12th at 7:00 PM at the North Bellevue Community Center.  Steve Herber is the SIG Leader.  This will be a Hybrid Meeting (in-person meeting plus Zoom meeting).

For those interested in Digital Photography, plan on attending our Digital Imaging SIG on July 27th at 7:00 PM at the North Bellevue Community Center.  It too will be a Hybrid Meeting.

We always need more members, so please let others know about the informative in-person and Zoom meetings we have monthly and all of the free help we offer.  We welcome visitors!

To keep up with technology visit http://www.techforsenior.com to learn about their Monday morning meetings (9:00 AM PT), their Newsletter, and their Facebook page.

Plan to attend an APCUG workshop or conference online.  Because KEGS is a member of APCUG, all KEGS members are notified via email about these events.  If you would like to attend a Zoom meeting of a computer club in another city, go to https://apcug2.org/group-sharing-meetings/.

Don't forget to check your Zoom App to make sure that you are up to date.  We have had some members have trouble connecting to meetings with outdated versions of Zoom.  The current version of Zoom is 5.11.1.

Stay safe.
